The facts

Name	Writ. Capital W, no article, never "Writ app".
One line	Light text editor for any text file, with full-text search and inline Markdown.
What it does	Opens any text file and saves it where it is. Searches every file in its folder by name and by content. A Markdown file is formatted as you type, with the markup shown on the line being edited. One hotkey brings the window over any app. Connections, a graph, tags, chat, rewriting and an MCP server for other programs are apps, each switched on in Settings.
Platforms	macOS 12+, Windows 10+, Linux (x86_64).
Price and license	Free. Open source under MIT.

Built with	Rust and Tauri 2 for the shell; SolidJS and CodeMirror 6 for the editor; SQLite for the index.
Privacy	No account, no telemetry. The first send to any AI host and the first call from any program wait for the user's approval.
